I have a family member who was victim of fraud through an online scam. This individual was tricked into sharing his personal information and sending money to cyber criminals. As a result this family member not only experienced a significant financial loss, but also suffered from depression as a result of the fraud. If he had known how to protect himself in the digital world this experience might have been avoided.
