I often times have project based learning (PBL) opportunities going on within my classroom and one time I had a couple of students that were working with a few elementary students. The older students had video taped several sessions with the younger students before it dawned on us that we had better check permission if the elementary students had signed the form to allow pictures/videos to be used of his/her child. Unfortunately, 1 out of the 4 students was not in favor of the videos being used so the older students had to redo several parts of their project. The little mishap opened up a great dialogue with the entire class and it is now on my "list of directions" that I give the students prior to their PBL projects starting.
