I have read many of the posts and I have to agree with many of them. I feel like Facebook and the other medias are a way for people to express themselves good or bad. I feel like it is almost a "companion" to people and a way to "journal" their lives. I personally do not care to hear about what people are making for supper or what they should make for supper, etc. First, who has the time to log-in and type those things and second who really wants to know something like that? I can recall a time when my sister-in-law, who is not well liked by many family members already, had accidentally forwarded a text to all of us relatives instead of her sisters. We read it and we were truly hurt by the comments that were in the text. Of course the "new message" rings immediately started coming in and the situation got even worse. It never has been the same since that time. I agree with many others that a simple call or face to face chat is lacking these days and really has made people more unsociable. I personally enjoy visiting with people face to face because you can read their body language and really know if they are being honest and true about what they are saying. I think social media has many positives as well as negatives too, if it is used properly.
