I teach 3rd grade and more and more kids are having phones at a young age. This means that they are also texting each other outside of school, with or without their parents' permission. At recess, I have had to deal with friends that were in an argument, because of texts that were sent between one another that were hurtful and got out of hand. I stated this in an earlier post, it is a lot easier to say things when you are not face to face with the actual person.
