Inappropriate Use Digital Media

There are so many options in regard to Digital Media and I have seen several instances where it was used inappropriately. One of my friends' daughters was in a class where the teacher had a Seesaw account. The kids were very excited about using it and posting their work. It ended up turning into a popularity contest with several kids receiving all of the comments and "likes" on their post. My friend's daughter was devastated when she wasn't receiving feedback for her work or posts. She would check it constantly in hopes that someone would comment. She wasn't the target of bullying but she was excluded from the classroom community. I know the teachers intent was for it to be a positive experience for kids and parents but it did not end up that way.
