I think for me personally if you look back over my Tweets, it would show a progression of professionalism. It started as me getting an account because of a technology conference I attended, probably back in 2007. I really only used it at that conference, but in 2008 the Cubs played the Dodgers and I went off on a rant on Twitter that as I look back am not proud. As I have had more experience in my professional life, I have found so many more uses for Twitter, that I feel like it has become my daily source for professional PD in my teaching, integrating technology, and even coaching high school sports. I find something new from this every day.
