We all need to make appropriate decisions when communicating digitally. I have an adult friend who came to me with several text messages from two different people. My friend was very upset and scared by the messages and what she perceived to be threats. After we discussed the matter together, I told her I did not feel the messages were necessarily threats but more of an intimidating tactic but perhaps she should discuss the matter with a county deputy. The deputy decided to make a report of the matter in case anything further developed but he did tell my friend it was not a threat and to block them both on her cell phone. My friend felt much better after she spoke with the deputy and I felt better reassuring her that making a report in case anything further developed was a smart move.
