Inappropriate Use of Digital Media: Molly Flinkman

Share a time when you or someone you know was the recipient of an inappropriate use of digital media or when you might have used digital media in an inappropriate manner. How did this make you or others feel? What might have been done differently?

A writer I know once had some of her digital media stolen and repurposed on a larger platform without any attribution to the original author. Similarly, I once had a substitute teacher take some of my classroom resources and sell them on Teachers Pay Teachers. In both cases, the feeling was anger and also a bit of helplessness because it's hard to stop something that gets posted to the internet once it has been posted. In the case of the first writer, some simple sourcing or communication could have solved the problem. In the second, the teacher never should have posted those resources in the first place.
