Sending emails instead of having conversations in person can sometimes be problematic. I've been on the receiving end of emails that came across as incredibly harsh. When seeing the person at a different point in time, they acted like nothing was wrong at all, which left me confused. I think that people can use email to hide when expressing their feelings so that they don't have to talk in person about a misunderstanding. All of this could have been avoided had discussions happened in person to begin with instead of relying on email to have conversations.
Email is a valuable tool, but it should not be used as a substitute for open dialogue.
