I have both seen it and sometimes unintentionally have done it.
First of all, we see digital media being used inappropriate all the time by our youth. Sending inappropriate pictures, bullying, cheating on tests, etc. I could talk all day about what we have experienced at our school. Something that hit close to home, was when my son was being bullied on snap chat by another boy his age who my son supposedly "stole his girlfriend"....he said some nasty things about my son online. It got to the point where I ended up calling the kid's parents and telling them what was going on. It got taken care of shortly after that call. So yes, saying things in a "public forum" for all of my son's friends to see, instead of this kid talking to my son one on one was very inappropriate.
As for myself, mostly just emails that I have wrote that were taken out of context by the receiver. Professionally and personal emails that I wrote that were taken the wrong way.
Most of them I had to call and talk to and let them know what I meant by my emails.
