Inappropriate Use of Digital Media

When I was in college one of my friends used MySpace, Facebook, and instant messaging to portray herself as someone else. The deception went on for months. This fake person was “dating” another friend. When we all found out we were in disbelief.  We felt violated and hurt. Many of us had a hard time trusting her again. I wonder if she would have been taught Digital Citizenship principles if she would have known better and lied to so many people.
