Several years ago, my teenage daughter sent a text message to a boy with her photo wearing only her underwear and bra. My husband and I were very concerned. My daughter didn't recognize the risks involved. We discussed who might also see/view/share this text message and photo of her. We made a list of people.... friends, relatives, employers, teachers, future husband, ...
She was too trusting of the recipient. Once the photo is sent to someone, the possibilities of where it can possibly be shared is infinite. My husband pointed out that males his age share those kinds of photos and have a good laugh or fantasy. She responded 'EW how gross!' Then we knew she understood the riskiness of her actions.
