Inappropriate Use of Digital Media

We have had several instances of student-to-student CyberBullying at our school.  It has made me feel frustrated that I can't convince students on the receiving end to report the abuse and ask adults for help.  More students are starting to ask for help, but more frequently, a parent sees the picture or message before the student reports.  No matter how we try, firewalls and filters can only keep out some things, and have no effect once the student is off the school grounds.
We need to be more proactive and encourage all staff to teach digital citizenship to prevent future incidences.

I agree with you, we have to teach students to navigate the digital world. Parents and adults won't always be there to monitor what's going out and coming in.
