Inappropriate Use of Digital Media

I have a few students in the past that have been taking pictures of teachers throughout the school without their permission.  The students will break out their phones and snap a quick a picture of the teacher.  These students did not have permission to take pictures of the teachers.  The students then were sending the pictures of the teachers and using their images in some form of animated online characters doing something silly.

Most of the teachers were upset that the students did not have permission to use their photo and photoshop into something online.  The teachers felt that the trust and responsibilities of the student was broken.

I believe if the students asked the teachers to take their photo, a few teachers would of allowed it.  This would be under the impression that the photos would be utilized with appropriateness.  The students should of asked all of the teachers before taking their photo for permission.
