Inappropriate Use of Digital Media

This refers to using our digital media in a way that is not intended to be used.  This includes cyberbullying, inappropriate emails, plagiarism, and etc. Digital media can be a great tool for communication as well as research or information.  The big key is if you use it right we can benefit from all of its diverse opportunities.
Many people though abuse these opportunities by not using digital media inappropriately.  We had a chat group for a club volleyball team I was coaching.  Parents selfishly started bashing other players or parents, so I put a stop to it right away.  I changed to the "Remind Application".  Here I could control more of the communication to be sure it was appropriately used.  The purpose of this group communication application was for announcements for games and practices, as well as cancellations for weather, etc.  It was also a great tool for sending pictures and summaries from weekend tournaments.  By changing to this application a could control who they could communicate with and keep it to the professional tool it was set up to be not for a drama site.

I always wanted to set up an account like you did when I was coaching.  I did hear of the benefits AND the drawbacks such as you brought up here.
