I know of at least two cases where students (in on case middle school, and another high school) were subjected to potential "stalking" online. In both cases the person tried to represent themselves as someone of their own age and tried to strike up a "friendship", however in both cases the student got uncomfortable with the nature of the questions the "stalker" was asking and/or the topics of the "discussion." Also in both cases the young person reported this to a parent and or adult who contacted law enforcement and in both cases the individuals were identified/known online predators or stalkers.
