As a teacher in a discipline which has many different rehearsals and performances, I use various means of communication to send information to my students. They are usually good about boundaries and they know where to draw the line with me. Unfortunately, far too often I see students who have no sense of decency when it comes to posting pictures or messages online. They have no idea of what damage this could do for a future career possibility. I have a former student who is now studying to become a teacher and I am constantly reminding her to watch what she posts online because a potential employer may not hire her if he/she doesn't like what they see.
