Inappropriate Use of Digital Media

We all know of situations where someone made a comment on Facebook or sent an email in the heat of the moment.  We all know of people who "overshare" on social media.  There are constant stories of inappropriate text messages or pictures/video that go viral.  So after all these "mishaps" over and over and over again, why do people continue to do them?  Adults should be smarter than that.  Kids should be being taught by these poor examples.
