I had a situation where a co-worker "thought" I had done something to undermine her leadership of her team, so rather than approach me to ask what had happened, sent several scathing texts to me before knowing the whole story. She completely misunderstood the situation, but it was too late and our relationship was compromised both personally and professionally. It is so important to know all of the facts before texting or posting. If she had come to me, we could have cleared it up without hurting feelings and our relationship.
