Inappropriate Use of Digital Media

One of my 4th grade students had his email hacked and received several nasty, filthy messages in his inbox.  He was shocked when he saw the words because they were directed towards him.  I feel angry that such inappropriate use of technology can happen in school. We are addressing this issue by changing his password.  I used this opportunity to make kids aware that the internet can be used inappropriately and to report any issues to adults.
