I know of a girl who downloaded a bunch of music illegally at college because, of course, everyone was doing it, and she got caught and had to pay a couple thousand dollars because of what she had done. She didn't think she would get caught, and she did. I have a friend outside of school who sends a lot of inappropriate or off-color political articles and jokes that I don't read--I just look for the personal e-mails from him, but I think that you have to be so careful when you put things out there or send them on--your audience may be a great deal larger than you ever realize, and you need to think not just twice but a long time before you click to comment yourself or send things on. I see examples on the news every day of someone making a quick comment on the internet that blew up to much greater proportions than they ever thought it would be, so I think even at the elementary level we need to make kids realize that you need to stop and think before you "say" something on the internet, because you can't take it back once it's out there.
