I work in a high school building and unfortunately this happens frequently. Students will send inappropriate text messages, tweets, posts to Facebook, snapchats, and inappropriate pictures. Many time there is not thought from the kids about how inappropriate it is what they are saying or sending.
I do consider myself pretty up to date on the different types of platforms for kids to communicate, but I am not an expert. Kids will tweet, snapchat, text and use Facebook (although Facebook is not as popular as it once used to be.
We need to stress to students that they need to think prior to posting things online as once they are online they never go away - there is a way to find everything. We also need to ask kids - would you want someone to post that about you?
