Students in this generation literally wear their emotions on their sleeve. They easily express every emotion they are feeling digitally. When it is anger, defeat, frustration, or some other negative emotion, the consequences usually are not good. Facebook and Twitter wars are oftentimes the result. Thinking before posting rarely happens, and aftermath is full of break ups, bruised egos, and spiteful shame. Educators (and parents) need to teach students to stop, think, and cool off before they respond or make post based on current emotion. The "here today, gone tomorrow" attitude does not apply in the digital world.
