Inappropriate Use of Digital Media

In my current role as a diversion teacher I have investigated several situations in which students have used digital media inappropriately.  Even though many of these interactions occur outside of school they disrupt the school environment because the students can save the communications and show them to school officials.  They cause anxiety, fear, and tension so situations need to be addressed when they interfere with school.  Kids need to understand that digital communication doesn't go away.  It is tangible evidence that can be used against them in school and by law enforcement.  Learning self-control and how to communicate appropriately is very important.
