I just recently started watching "13 Reasons Why". I've read the book in the past, but the show brings this to life. There are several instances of inappropriate use of digital media. I was watching this with my daughter, who is also a teacher and we were discussing different situations in which a student was traumatized by someone using social media. The story that I remember most happened several years ago to a student that was then in 8th grade. She had taken nude pictures of herself and sent them to whom she thought were some friends. It turned out that when she texted them, she hit the "all" button and mom and grandma also got them. Students have to understand that what gets sent, is sent! Hard lesson for this kiddo to learn.
