Recently, a colleague posted a few pictures to Facebook on her personal Facebook page. The issue was that the pictures were of a variety of students from a recent pool day. There were photos of middle school girls, in their swimming suits, and then she proceeded to post their names and multiple opinion statements in the comments. The fact that she was posting pictures of kids from school on her personal page, along with names and ages seemed highly inappropriate.
Sometimes, it seems so much easier to snap pictures on a personal phone to use for school projects, or to post to our school site. However, when those photos or videos are on a personal device, it becomes too easy to use them outside of the manner for which they were intended. (Re-posted from original posting on June 4, 2017)
