Inappropriate Use of Digital Media

I get concerned with the readily available use of social media to younger audiences.  Unfortunately, a child can be exposed to such a wide variety of inappropriate comments and imagery by people of any age.  In 2012 J.K. Rowling started Pottermore, an internet website dedicated to the works of Rowling.  There are other sites dedicated to many things like Hello Kitty or any other characters from cartoons, video games, movies, and multitudes of money making enterprises targeted to children.  I know that adults can be just as enthusiastic about many of these sites and it just creeps me out to think that children are being "catfished", taunted, belittled, bullied, or their naivete shattered in some inappropriate way from some troll who is there for purposes other than what they were intended for.
