Inappropriate Use of Digital media example

I have had students who had unflattering or inappropriate things posted online about them. It was very upsetting and the students felt violated.  As a teacher, knowing both parties involved, it was not a pleasant experience and uncomfortable to be around the perpetrator.
    Action needs to be taken quickly to resolve these situations-getting content removed, reporting the situation to those that can deal with it: parents, administration, law enforcement, etc.  It needs to be dealt with by letting all know it is not acceptable, the persons doing it are not 'heroes' and all need to know that there are consequences for actions.
