I have received group emails in the past that may be viewed as being offensive. Bad jokes are an example. I put a stop to these, but could also understand how this could spiral out of control.
Also, at our school, we deal with bullying via facebook almost on a daily basis. He said she said drama that comes to school with the students. We have parents get involved, and it gets rather ugly at times. Students share pictures and then when something happens and they are no longer friends, the pictures get shared with the world.
Students and parents need to use some common sense, which at times is lacking to say the least!
