Inappropriate use of Digital Media

I know at election time there were some examples of inappropriate use of digital media!  I know of a young lady who was very excited that she had gotten to vote for the first time.  She posted on FaceBook that she had voted(she did not say who she had voted for) and that everyone should get out and vote.  She had several comments from people who said that it was too bad that she voted(because they did not like who she would have voted for).  She also had comments from people that said don't vote unless you vote for this person or that person.  It really gave her a bad feeling about society in general and specifically about those people who posted those things!  

There are nice ways to say things and mean ways to say things.  I think that with digital media, you do not get the full picture of what someone might be saying.  You do not see the body language, facial expressions and general demeanor of the person who is saying something and it can be taken very badly because of this.
