Inappropriate use of Digital Media

I, like many others, have noticed an inappropriate use of social media platforms. I am on Facebook, but while I feel that mine is a very limited view of the entirety of what is on Facebook, I am still overwhelmed with the amount of disrespectful arguments and judgement that occurs. Often people who are posting wish to share, while others may want to start a respectful discussion with people they know. I think the thing that needs to change is the individuals viewing and responding actually being respectful of others. Sometimes I think our students are more respectful in their online interactions than many adults.
