This past school year I had a student that was the recipient of inappropriate texts. She received mean, hateful texts from another peer. The sender told the student she was stupid, ugly and that they were not going to be friends anymore. The student that received the texts would become very upset. It made me angry that this student was receiving these texts during the school day. The few times it happened I would immediately send the student to the school counselor to talk about the texts and see if they could resolve the problem.
