One of the downfalls of using email and/or texting to communicate with others is that the recipient can not see the senders facial expression nor can he/she hear the sender's tone of voice. This may cause problems. The recipient may interpret the message in a totally different way than the sender intended it to come across. I have received email and text messages before that I felt were almost rude, but after talking in person with the senders, I realized that they did not intend for the messages to be rude, they just came across that way.
