Inappropriate use of digital media -J. Simmons

Share a time when you or someone you know was the recipient of inappropriate use of digital media or when you might have used digital media in an inappropriate manner. How did this make you or others feel? What might have been done differently?
In the past I have seen many situations of inappropriate media use such as bullying, inappropriately taking photos or videos, and even students on inappropriate internet sites or games.  I know a teacher who was also a coach and a student not associated with the coach or the team shared a team photo on social media with inappropriate comments.  That student received both school and home consequences for the behavior.  In this situation, the coach, team players, as well as their parents, were upset about the situation.  Sometimes students make choices without thinking them through or considering the consequences.  I think as mentioned in one of the other posts a specific curriculum needs to be implemented in all schools so that students can continuously build upon their knowledge and understanding of appropriate digital media use.
