Inappropriate use of digital media

I too agree that as parents we must not be create a "digital latchkey" environment for  young family members.  By not paying attention and keeping a close eye on our students areas of explorations it could create an environment of social distress / anxiety.  Using the power of words can be an awesome thing for our youth and family members.   Proofreading is almost a lost art in our schools and I see that this applies to digital communications too.  We need to be especially diligent in teaching that what we share via e-mail,facebook, etc. may be used against you.  Teaching a group Career classes, I have pointed out that inappropriate posts may make an employer think twice about hiring you.   Employers do check!
