Inappropriate use of digital media

I was recently tagged in a post on social media by an acquaintance from college that had inappropriate content. There were several people tagged and although it was meant to be funny and done in a joking manner the picture/post displayed was offensive to others. I have since learned to more frequently review my contacts in my social media account to ensure I am only keeping those connected that I have current relationships with and follow the same approach to interacting on social media.  I simply use it as a means to keep in touch with friends and family that are not in town, however other use it is as platform to share opinions, jokes, etc. that may not always be appropriate or respectful in nature.
