All employees at our school have a school email account. Many staff members use this email for personal use as well as for work. What everyone needs to understand is that a school email account is the property of the school and the school administrators may have access to your account if they feel it is being used inappropriately. This happened at our school when a teacher passed along what they thought was a funny email filled with explicit, adult humor to a few other staff members. The school administration found out about it and used the email as evidence for their reason for dismissal. Please think about that the next time you simply want to forward that "funny" email to some of your colleagues.
