Inappropriate use of digital media

In our school a student hacked into another students email account and sent a school wide inappropriate email.  It was impossible to find out who did it.  The students account that was used was very embarrassed even though they didn't do it.  Sometimes it is very hard with technology and the internet to find out who the violoator is.
