I had a student commit suicide - lets just call him Bob for this use. A fellow student posted a picture of himself with a noose of electrical cord around his neck. The picture showed him holding the loose end of the cord straight up while he posed bug-eyed with his tongue hanging out. He titled the posting, "Doing a Bob thing." Needless to say the posting hurt and offended many other students, and even made him a target for physical abuse. It was a textbook case of posting something that never should have been posted. Punishment followed and I have always hoped that valuable lessons were learned.
