Inappropriate use

I teach at a middle school.  When I see students using technology in an inappropriate way I often wonder if it is because they do not know better. Technology changes so quickly that it can be difficult to keep up with all of the ways that students should use technology and ways that they are manipulating the technology.  We recently had issues with cyber bullying using KIK and ASKFM sites. I felt that the way things were handled were the best they could be.  In the end the local police had to get involved.  Students were made aware that their online actions often have real world consequences.
