I too have seen students create a fake Facebook account to make fun of a group of students, post digital inappropriate pictures on snapchat or Facebook, get into an argument on twitter, or share pictures and hide them behind a fake icon on their phone etc etc etc.... People find confidence in sitting behind a screen posting and commenting inappropriately. It is much more difficult to do that in person. A few things I do as a teacher: I don't accept students as friends on Facebook. I rarely post, and if I do, it is positive. I try to be a good example. I try to always teach students to live by the golden rule.
