Instagram

I have an Instagram account but rarely use it.  I tend to keep my privacy settings on Social Media sites pretty tight so I was surprised when I checked my Instagram settings and found that  I had not set them as Private, which I prefer at this time.  It was so long ago that I set up this account, I'm not sure if I had intended on my settings being public or if I had simply not investigated my settings options.  A good example of needing to check my setting repeatedly.

Joan, I agree that it is a good idea to check more frequently, as your age and wisdom increases :) Your ideas about privacy change and increases too. However, it would be beneficial for the students we teach to realize this way sooner than we have. The times and technology has changed so much from when we first entered that world, and so must the way we protect ourselves.
