I use a lot of picture books to embellish topics in the middle school literacy classroom. I found 3 Instagram users whose visuals would be supportive: (1) The first on cliff dwellers of the Mesa Verde, particularly, are among his amazing photos. (2) Gorgeous nature photography in Colorado is science worthy, but the close-ups of the bald eagles are timely as many students and adults in the Des Moines area are watching as the bald eagles are returning to the trees at the confluence of the Des Moines and Raccoon Rivers. (3) The 3rd user has only one item of interest to me, and the rest need to be carefully screened. There is a video of world-renowned aerialist, Philippe Petit, which gives students an opportunity to see this . . . Man Who Walked Between The Towers and is celebrated in Mordicai Gerstein's book.
