For the past 8 years I have been teaching overseas in a variety of rolls mostly in Germany, but recently in Austria at International Schools.
There are some good ideas and thoughts on the posts I have read, but what is largely missing is the complexity that having many cultures mixing together causes with DC. In my time I have seen issues with Social platforms and various internet postings of images of other students which were not inappropriate in the North American sense, but because of governmental regulations of not being allowed to post images of anyone else without their explicit consent there was an issue with the images or videos being online at all.
The line is fine at times and stepping on some toes of some parents and religions is inevitable. It has been quite a learning curve for me and continues to be!
