Aside from following friends and family, I also follow pages that interest me. There are lots of cultural as well as educational pages that are good for a follow (not to mention meme pages..) I follow almost 500 pages, so I think it would be best to suggest a few that I find beneficial to anyone else who might be taking this course for some kind of credit.
From an educational perspective- Daily Stoic @dailystoic is run by Ryan Holiday- a writer and classicist who promotes ancient values and philosophy and gives those of us trapped in our modern mentality some daily wisdom in order to free ourselves from the prison of our thinking.
I also follow the Soho Forum @thesohoforum where you can find clips of political thinkers debating controversial issues of the day in an Oxford debate style format. As an educator, I think the ability to debate logically, without using logical fallacies or falling into base shouting matches driven by nothing more substantial than pejoratives, is one of the most important of the dying arts (in this case, 'liberal' arts) and I'm happy to follow a page where this ancient and honorable tradition for thinking people is kept alive and well.
I also follow Philo Thoughts @philo.thoughts - a simple page which posts (referenced!) quotes from famous writers and philosophers. You can find quotes from Maya Angelou, Hermann Hesse, Ray Bradbury, Bertrand Russell, Dostoevsky, etc. Simple, but cool.
Culturally- I also follow a lot of hip hop artists. @theroots (Legendary hip hop group from Philly) Lyricism World @lyricismworld- great page for freestyles from some top lyricists. Fantastic.
Also, breaking news, if you follow MasterClass @masterclass- You can pay for a class by Noam Chomsky about propaganda and independent thinking. Say what you want about advertisements blocking your scrolling experience, but I'll be damned if it doesn't work sometimes.
