During an international unit the students would be divided into groups. Each group would pick a different country to research and present to the class. In Gmail I would create labels for students depending on their chosen country. So Billy, Catherine and John might be labeled "Spain" and Susan, Fred and Clara could be labeled "Holland". Each student would need to report to me weekly via email on their research progress. On Google Calendars they would create an event indicating which date will present.
