Internet Safety - Facebook

Stephanie Riley
The only social media I use is Facebook so I checked my privacy settings.  I had checked them not too long ago because I had clicked on profiles for a couple of people that I knew but that I was not friends with on Facebook, and I was able to see their entire profiles.  On my own profile, my security settings were private with only friends seeing my posts.  One thing that I did not realize, however, was that you could set individual posts to only be seen by certain friends.  I do wonder, though, if someone else comments on that post who is friends with the excluded person, will they be able to see it then?  I know typically if someone comments on your post, all of that person's friends can see it, but if you set it to exclude certain friends, will it continue to stay out of their feed?  Or would they be able to see it on your wall if they go to your profile?  I think it is best just to use messaging if there is something that you want to keep private just in case.

Hello,
You can set it so that only Friends and not Friends of Friends see your posts.
