I looked at my Instagram privacy settings (it has been a while since I reviewed this). I found that there is now a “Limit unwanted interactions” setting that can be turned on if I feel like I am being harassed by comments. I can also select “Hidden Words” to filter offensive words, phrases, or message requests. I think these are good tools for parents to use with their older children as they begin to use these sites, as a way to add an extra layer of protection. The account should also be set up as "Private".
