I have Facebook, Instrgram, and Snapchat. I was reading other messages and didn't realize that there was a legacy option in facebook to help get information when you die but I did take this time to double check to see if I had that set up as well as if my privacy settings where still the same. Facebook has multiple options for privacy like public, just friends, and friends of friends which I like.
I am still learning snapchat so I spent some time looking at its privacy setting which as first was hard to figure out where that link was to begin with. Once I found privacy controls under settings in my account I was able to make sure that; see my location, view my story, and send me notifications were all set to my friends only. What I didn't realize is that there is a Ghost Mode for my location which means when it is enabled, your friends can't see your location and your Ghost Trail is cleared. You don't have an option to not share your location so that is when you would use Ghost mode. Another way to keep your location more private would but to just selected several friends or family to see your location with thier "only these friends" option.
