I went into my Facebook account and looked at my settings on my account. FB has a very user friendly way to look at how each thing they offer you can easily be set up to your preferences. It's called the Privacy Check-up. The first thing I checked was my profile and who can see what I have listed. I opted for "only me" for things like my DOB, Marital Status, Employer, etc. Beyond that you can select who actually sees your posts and stories. I have mine selected to Friends Except.....there are a couple people that I have as friends for purposes such as youth coaching contacts, but that doesn't mean I want them to see all my information out there. It's just a way to stay up to date on when they post tournaments, etc. You can also choose to Block certain people so that they can' even find you on the FB app.
I choose to have MY LOCATION set to off and for your overall FB log in, you can set up so you can be alerted when someone logs in or have a secondary layer of authentication when logging in to ensure that it's you.
